We celebrated our 25th anniversary this month by going on an Alaskan cruise. It is amazing it has been 25 years. We have been together for over half of our lifetime. We started dating at 19 and got married at 21. I cannot imagine life without James now, and it is hard to remember a time when we weren’t together. People said we were too young. Neither one of us understood why people thought that. We both felt very mature at that age. Now when I look at people that young, I cannot imagine them making such a major decision.

We went on the cruise with James’ parents who were celebrating their 50th anniversary. Alaska was amazing. I have seen pictures, but they don’t do it justice. I was amazed by all the waterfalls. Of course the guide informed us that only a few of them are true waterfalls, and others are just melting snow. The true waterfalls are there year round. They both were beautiful to me. The weather was great. It was sunny and warm every day of the trip. The guides kept telling us how unusual the weather was.

The glaciers were also beautiful. I really liked the blue ice. We got to see the glaciers from a boat, plane and train. The cruise ship even drove through icebergs, but we took a smaller boat to get really close to them. We even heard an iceberg crack and saw a small piece of ice fall in the water. We also flew over the glacier in a seaplane and were able to see how large it was and how it moves like a river.
