The open house was really fun. I feel blessed to have such wonderful clients and friends. There are pictures posted on Facebook if you want to see them. I found out that Martha Len Nelson’s grandparents used to own this house. She said the layout was similar to how it is now.

We recently went on a ski trip with our church group. Right after I dropped Brad and Matthew off at ski school, I slipped on a patch of ice and fell hard on one hand. For a brief moment, I thought I had broken my wrist. You know that moment right after you fall where you hurt but you don’t know how bad things are. Of course, I was perfectly fine, but I thought if I am hurt I am going to have to come up with a better story than this. Something elaborate like I was skiing down a black and a kid cut in front of me and in order to not run over him or kill him, I had to take a dive. Doesn’t that sound more noble than I slipped and fell while walking? Thankfully I don’t have to worry about that. James and the boys had a wonderful time skiing. It was Brad and Matthew’s first time to ski. They had so much fun that they can’t wait to go again.

Also, while we were on the trip, there were several of the youth there without parents. It got me wondering if there was an accident, did we have all the information we needed? If you are planning on sending your children to camp or on a trip that you are not going on, it is important that you give the chaperones authority to seek medical treatment for your children. Also, they need information like your child’s medical history, medicines that they take, allergies, medical conditions and how to reach you and alternate contacts.
