How much time do you have to spend with loved ones?  Since none of us knows when our expiration date is, we need to live like this is the only time we have.  It is very important that we enjoy the time we are given and appreciate all of it.  I went to Austin Pruett’s memorial service.  It was a vivid reminder that we don’t know how long we have on this earth.  Austin was a thirteen year old boy who had a heart transplant.  It was wonderful to see the many lives that he had positively impacted.  I hope as a parent that I never have to go through something as painful as losing a child, but it was a powerful reminder to me to cherish the time I have with my boys.

When should you get your Will, living trust, and healthcare documents in order?  Before you need them.  When will that be?  No one knows.  It is better to have them in order and not need them than to need them and not have them.

Thanksgiving is a time to count your blessings.  Take time to count the blessings in your life and appreciate what you have been given.
